Report: Broncos may be shopping Devontae Booker, Cowboys interested

The Denver Broncos may be entertaining the idea of trading second-year running back Devontae Booker to the Dallas Cowboys, according to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk.

The rumor of Booker being traded to the Cowboys began circulating after a Federal appeals court ruled in favor of the NFL, clearing the way for the league to uphold the six-game suspension for Dallas All-Pro running back Ezekiel Elliott.

On paper, such a deal makes perfect sense – mainly because Dallas would have a need if Elliott’s suspension holds and the Broncos have a logjam at running back with C.J. Anderson, Jamaal Charles, Booker, and rookie De’Angelo Henderson all in the mix.

The report has since been refuted by several sources. But as Florio pointed out, every player has a price, and the Broncos have a very crowded running back room.

The NFL trade deadline this year is October 31. While this trade may not be a serious possibility right now, there is still plenty of time for the two side to get a deal done.
