The San Francisco 49ers apparently are considering moving on from running back Carlos Hyde.
Benjamin Allbright is reporting that the they have received and made calls about trading Hyde. Also, The Athletic’s John Middlekauff tweeted out that the 49ers are open to trading any veteran player.
Was told yesterday by a GM they are open to trading every vet for the right price. Could be an interesting couple days https://t.co/fVSUllgcnQ

On Friday they released long-time linebacker Navarro Bowman.
The 49ers were expected to have a tough 2017 season, and it has been that with a 0-5 record. However, outside of their season-opener against the Carolina Panthers, they have been competitive in every game.
They have lost three of their last four games by three points, and their other loss came by two points.
That type of margin shows that the 49ers are on the right track, but it is obvious that their roster still needs some more good players. The best way to do that is through the draft, and Hyde would be able to bring in a decent haul. New general manager John Lynch and his staff have shown how much they value draft picks, by getting 10 total in the 2017 NFL Draft.
However the key phrase in Middlekauff’s tweet is “for the right price.” The 49ers can start getting rid of some of their good veteran players, but this team is showing enough that it had better be worth it.
