The Pittsburgh Steelers will be without defensive end Stephon Tuitt on Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Tuitt has not practiced all week while dealing with a back injury, and the Steelers ruled him out for the game. Right tackle Marcus Gilbert is listed as doubtful with a hamstring injury. He missed three consecutive game before returning Week 6 against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Gilbert had to exit the game in the first half after re-aggravating his hamstring injury.
However one player who missed a great deal of practice time, and will still take the field against the Bengals, is inside linebacker Vince Williams. He did not participate in practice on Wednesday or Thursday with a hip injury, but he was a full participant on Friday.
He was asked on Friday about whether or not he would be ready to play, and he responded, “No problems. I’m full go,” via the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s Ray Fittapaldo.
The Steelers are coming off of a huge victory against the Chiefs who were the NFL’s last undefeated team going into that game. It was the perfect result, coming off of an ugly loss at home to the Jacksonville Jaguars the week prior.
Now, they are hoping not to have a let down, against a 2-3 division rival.
