Johnson Bademosi has been a pleasant surprise in New England. The corner’s been a key cog in Patriots’ steadily improving defense.
The sixth-year cornerback has ceased the opportunity with cornerbacks Stephon Gilmore and Eric Rowe out of the lineup due to injury and it’s not going unnoticed amongst his teammates.
“[Johnson Bademosi] is not afraid to compete, he’s not afraid to line up against anybody and lay it on the line,” Patriots special teams ace Matthew Slater said, per Glen Farley of The Enterprise.
Bademosi’s filled in admirably the past two weeks with Gilmore sideline with a concussion and Rowe out with a groin injury, to the point which the Patriots are going to have some tough decisions once two corners return.
The roster determinations could come in the very near future with Gilmore and Rowe working their way back to health.
Bademosi’s registered 16 tackles and 1 pass deflection in 7 games this season. His numbers will continue to trend upward with more time on the field.
