NFL Week 6 TV announcing crews

As we learned on multiple occasions during the first five weeks of the 2017 NFL season, announcers can make or break the TV viewing experience.

Unfortunately, broadcast teams that are solid across the board (play-by-play, color commentating and sideline reporting) are seemingly few and far between in the NFL today. There are, however, a handful of groups that stand out above the rest and make the television viewing experience much more enjoyable.

To the surprise of many, former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo is quickly becoming one of the premier color commentators in the business. He has only given us a small sample size, but so far he has been outstanding.

On the flip side, former NFL coach Rex Ryan turned in one of the worst color-commentating jobs in recent memory during the Los Angeles Chargers-Denver Broncos Week 1 game on Monday Night Football With his boisterous personality, many were expecting Ryan to excel in the broadcast booth.
