NFL mock draft roundup (10/11/17)

With each passing week, NFL mock drafts grow increasingly useful. Sure, no team is mathematically eliminated from the playoffs yet, but a team such as the 0-5 New York Giants can probably begin making plans for the offseason sooner rather than later.

Yes, they could finish on an 11-0 run and make the playoffs, but no team has ever made the postseason following an 0-5 start. And having just lost wideouts Odell Beckham Jr., Brandon Marshall and Dwayne Harris to season-ending injuries, the odds the Giants will be the first to pull it off are astronomical.

On the flip side, teams such as the Buffalo Bills look like they’ll be more focused on value come draft day. During the 2017 draft in April, the Bills acquired the Kansas City Chiefs’ 2018 first-round pick in a trade that netted the Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Now the Bills hold two first-rounders, but they could both be pretty late in the draft. Is a trade up in the offing for Buffalo this time around?

We likely won’t know for another 2-3 months (at the earliest), but until then, here are two mock drafts showing how things could fall:
