LOOK: Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott used suspension to get shredded

Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott is already among the most imposing runners in the NFL, but a six-game suspension afforded him the time to take his fitness to another level in recent weeks.

Elliott went to Cabo while serving his six-game sentence after the NFL concluded that he’d abused his then-girlfriend in the summer of 2016. While he was there, he focused on transforming his body and the results were pretty amazing.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network tweeted a photo of Elliott’s new look on Sunday morning and it’s got Cowboys fans champing at the bit to get him back into the lineup in Week 16 against the Seattle Seahawks. And if Dallas can pull off the win without him against the Oakland Raiders on Sunday, he’ll have a chance to spearhead a last-ditch effort to make the postseason.

Elliott won the rushing title as a rookie in 2016 and had run for 783 yards in 8 games in the 2017 season before he lost his final chance to delay the suspension in the courts and was forced to serve the suspension in November. Dallas has goe 2-3 in his absence but managed to win back-to-back games keep their playoff hopes alive in the last two weeks.
