Here’s who the Vegas oddsmakers are picking to win Super Bowl 52

With only three weeks left in the 2017 NFL regular season, we have a pretty clear picture as to which teams have a legitimate chance at winning Super Bowl 52.

As you can see, the Vegas oddsmakers clearly see the AFC as a two-team race, while the NFC is wide open (even more so now that Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz is out for the year with a torn ACL in his left knee).

Going into Week 15, here are the top-five Super Bowl contenders according to the Vegas oddsmakers.

New Orleans Saints (9/1)

The Saints have been one of the biggest surprises of the 2017 season. Behind veteran Mark Ingram and rookie Alvin Kamara, their rushing attack has been outstanding; their defense has been shockingly good; and they still have one of the best quarterbacks of all-time (Drew Brees).

Philadelphia Eagles (13/2)

The oddsmakers still like the Eagles’ chances despite Wentz’s season-ending injury. And it’s fairly easy to understand why.

Nick Foles is one of the better backup quarterbacks in the NFL, Philadelphia’s defense is elite, and the team’s offense is still loaded with talented playmakers. To top it off, there is still a very good chance the Eagles end up with a first-round bye in the NFC playoffs.

Minnesota Vikings (6/1)

The Vikings fell to 10-3 with their 31-24 loss to the Carolina Panthers in Week 14. Their defense has been dominant all year, and quarterback Case Keenum continues to surprise everyone.

With their three remaining games coming against the Cincinnati Bengals (home), Green Bay Packers (road), and Chicago Bears (home), it’s hard to see the Vikings not clinching a first-round bye in the NFC playoffs.

It does bear pointing out that the Vikings will have the added incentive of trying to become the first team in NFL history to play a Super Bowl in their home stadium.

Pittsburgh Steelers (19/5)

The Steelers (11-2) just keep finding ways to win games. Their offense is the best in the NFL right now, but their defense has struggled at times. They have a great opportunity in Week 15 to get one step closer to locking up home-field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs with a win over the New England Patriots.

Bottom line: the Steelers will be incredibly difficult to beat if their offense continues to play at their current level.

New England Patriots (2/1)

The Patriots suffered a setback in their 27-20 loss to the Miami Dolphins in Week 14. But when it comes down to it, they are still 10-3 and they still have a very good chance at locking up home-field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs. Oh yeah, and they still have the best player in NFL history, Tom Brady, behind center.
