No further punishment for Patriots or Bills from NFL

The NFL has decided not to issue any further punishments to players from the Buffalo Bills or New England Patriots.

Their Week 13 matchup got extremely physical, and of course the moment that will not be soon forgotten was Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski taking a cheap shot at Bills’ cornerback Tre’Davious White that resulted in a concussion.

Gronkowski has already been suspended one game by the NFL, and the league has decided not to punish any other players for some of the physical play during that game. This includes Bills defensive end Jerry Hughes and safety Micah Hyde who received unnecessary roughness and unsportsmanlike conduct penalties respectively during the game, via The Boston Globe’s Ben Volin.

That was one of two games that got chippy during Week 13. The Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Cincinnati Bengals Monday Night Football matchup resulted in a one-game suspension for Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster, and a suspension that was later rescinded for Bengals safety George Iloka.
