Dallas Cowboys plan to rotate cornerbacks in Week 7

The Dallas Cowboys have a new strategy going forward in their secondary.

NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reported on Sunday that the Cowboys plan to rotate cornerbacks in the secondary to keep players fresh and simultaneously create competition in the defensive backfield.

Corners Orlando Scandrick, Anthony Brown, Chidobe Awuzie and Jourdan Lewis will rotate in during Week 7’s game against the San Francisco 49ers.

The Cowboys’ defense has given up 35 points in their last two games and the team’s secondary has often been victimized. Coaches are hoping this new game plan provides a spark for the team mediocre defense.

One player that will certainly improve the Cowboys’ defense is Sean Lee. The veteran linebacker is slated to return to the field on Sunday in San Francisco. Lee missed the last two games with a hamstring injury.

The 49ers are a good opponent for the Cowboys to mix it up defensively against. San Fransisco is challenged offensively.
