The Dallas Cowboys kept their playoff hopes alive behind a career day from Dak Prescott in Week 14. Cole Beasley said the team rallied behind Prescott throughout the 30-10 win over the New York Giants.
“He’s just a great leader,” Beasley explained, via Jon Machota of the Dallas Morning News. “He stays poised no matter what is going on, no matter bad play or good play, he’s the same guy all the way through. He’s just steady. That’s what you need from your quarterback and your leader. He keeps guys level.”
Prescott set a career high in passing yards with 332 and his 3 touchdown passes matched his highest total. The second-year quarterback now has two-straight seasons with at least 20 touchdown passes. To put it in comparison, Cowboys Hall of Fame quarterback Troy Aikman only had one season with 20 or more touchdown passes.
The Cowboys desperately needed to win on Sunday and the team did just that behind a superb effort by Prescott. All 22 Cowboys Facebook Live declared in Week 13 that Dallas needs to win out to make the postseason. The team has won since that declaration with three more games remaining.
