Cowboys sign kicker Mike Nugent

The Dallas Cowboys lost kicker Dan Bailey to injury, and it looks like Mike Nugent is the next man up.

“Cowboys are signing veteran K Mike Nugent, source says,” wrote Mike Garafolo of NFL Network. “He’ll replace injured Dan Bailey.”

After Bailey went down, the Cowboys turned to safety Jeff Heath. He hit 2 out of 3 extra point attempts. That was tremendous, all things considered, but the Cowboys had to be happy they were in the midst of blowing out the San Fransisco 49ers and didn’t need Heath to kick anything important.
