Chargers S Adrian Phillips wife tried to join him on the sidelines when he got hurt

Los Angeles Chargers-Adrian Phillips-Camille-Kansas City Chiefs

Los Angeles Chargers safety Adrian Phillips got banged up during their Saturday night matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs, and his wife, Camille, was extremely concerned.

She found her way to the sidelines to be with him, however, she was not escorted by a Chargers’ employee. Camille simply came down out of the stands and as the medical tent was being put over her husband, she was there, according to CBS Sports’ Jamie Erdahl.

Adrian went to the locker room with an ankle injury, but was able to return to the game. Camille was escorted off of the field by police, per Erdahl.

Hopefully nothing happens to her. She clearly shouldn’t have jumped out of the stands, but that’s her husband. It was an emotional response due to concern about someone whom she loves.

Also, the Chiefs need to improve the security on the visitor’s sidelines.

Camille did receive some support on social media, most notably coming from an actress, and wife of a former NFL player. Holly Robinson Peete, wife of former quarterback Rodney Peete, remembered when her husband got hurt during a Monday Night Football game and she made her way to the locker room.
