The Dayton Flyers played their most dominant game, from start to finish, of the season Saturday at UD Arena. They routed Duquesne 90-53.
Star of the game: Kendall Pollard made all six of his field-goal attempts and led the Flyers with 16 points.
Stat of the game: The Flyers shot 58.7 percent from the field (37 of 63) and 45.8 percent from 3-point range (11 of 24).
Big picture: Dayton improved to 17-5 and 8-2 in the A-10. For the moment, they are a half game ahead of VCU, which plays at St. Bonaventure this afternoon.
The Flyers played one of their best halves of the season, building a 44-25 halftime lead.
UD’s star: Kendall Pollard made 4 of 4 field goals and 2 of 2 free throws and leads the Flyers with 10 points. All nine players in the rotation scored.
Duquesne’s star: Isiaha Mike scored eight points on 3-of-3 shooting.
Key stat: The Flyers made 18 of 31 field goals (58.1 percent) and 6 of 13 3-pointers (46.2).
Big run: The Flyers led 8-6 in the opening minutes and then scored 10 straight points.
