Wisconsin tight end Troy Fumagalli will not be skipping his last chance to play in a Badgers uniform. Fumagalli, who is one of the top tight end prospects in the 2018 NFL Draft class, said Sunday that he will play in the Orange Bowl against Miami on Dec. 30.
While some draft prospects will sit out their team’s bowl games to preserve their health, Fumagalli said he did not really consider that option.
“I want to go out there and play with these guys one last time,” Fumagalli said, according to Zach Heilprin of the Wisconsin Sports Zone Network. “I can’t imagine myself (sitting out the game).”

Fumagalli caught 43 passes for 516 yards and 4 touchdowns during 2017, his senior season. He’s registered 1,596 receiving yards over his four-year career with the Badgers.
At 6-foot-6, 248 pounds, Fumagalli will catch the eye of NFL teams leading up to next year’s draft. CBS Sports ranked Fumagalli as the best senior tight end for the 2018 draft prior to the 2017 season.
