Wisconsin RB Taiwan Deal, DB Patrick Johnson out for season with injuries

Wisconsin football has announced that RB Taiwan Deal and DB Patrick Johnson will be out for the rest of the season because of injuries.

Both Deal and Johnson were on the Monday injury report. Deal, a junior is out with a right leg injury, while safety Patrick Johnson is dealing with a right arm injury.

Deal hasn’t played this season. In 2015, Deal rushed for 503 yards and 6 touchdowns on 117 attempts. He had 32 carries for 164 yards last season.

Johnson has played in four games this season. He played in 13 games in 2016, making 3 tackles.

No. 5 Wisconsin next plays at Illinois on Saturday, Oct. 28. The game will be played at 12 p.m. ET on ESPN.
