Jazz Peavy takes a leave of absence

Wide receiver Jazz Peavy is dealing with more than just a leg injury. Coach Paul Chryst said Monday the senior has stepped away from the team for personal reasons. Peavy had missed the last two games because of the injury and is already ruled out for the game this week at Illinois.

Wisconsin injury update

Taiwan Deal’s season never really got going and now it’s over. The junior running back is out for the year after undergoing surgery on his right foot. He wasn’t the only one to see his season come to an end. Safety Patrick Johnson is also done with an arm injury. Here’s a look at the full injury list for the Badgers heading into their matchup with Illinois.

Wisconsin must be 13-0 to make the playoff

Bracketology is usually reserved for the NCAA basketball tournament, but Jerry Palm of CBS Sports also has his College Football Playoff bracket. And he tells Sean Keeler the only way Wisconsin is among the four playoff teams is if the Badgers win every game they play.

Game time for Indiana announced

Wisconsin will continue its string of early starts when it travels to Indiana on Nov. 4. The Big Ten announced Monday the Badgers and Hoosiers will kick off at 11 a.m. and be televised on ABC.

Exhibition game added to Wisconsin hoops schedule

Schools all around the country are holding exhibition games as ways to help raise funds for hurricane victims. The Badgers are now a part of that as well, as the school announced Monday it had scheduled an exhibition game with Northern Iowa for Nov. 1 at the Kohl Center. The event will be free, with fans encouraged to donate to Team Rubicon, a relief organization started by two Marines, including former Wisconsin offensive lineman Jake Wood.

Season over for Joe Thomas

Former Wisconsin All-American Joe Thomas missed the first snap of his career on Sunday, and now the future Hall of Fame offensive lineman will miss the rest of the season. An MRI revealed he has a torn tricep tendon that will require surgery and end his season with the Cleveland Browns.

A special duo behind the mic for Wisconsin

It’s been 23 years since Matt Lepay and Mike Lucas first called a Wisconsin football game on the radio together, and as Jesse Temple explains, the tandem has been a special one for fans to listen to.

Wisconsin hockey strong in the polls

In advance of its series with No. 6 Minnesota, the Wisconsin women’s hockey team stayed at No. 1 in the new  USCHO.com rankings, while the men’s team moved up to No. 5 despite gaining just a split of its series with Northern Michigan last weekend.
