Will Grier and Baker Mayfield are the kings of the deep passing game in college football.
If you don’t believe that, well, just look at the numbers.

Grier sits atop Pro Football Focus’s list with 986 yards, Baker Mayfield is right behind him with 916.
It shouldn’t be a shock that the Big 12 produces some prolific passers. After all, it’s pretty much what the conference has been known for since the days of Vince Young. Grier and Mayfield are two of the best in the nation, and have lots of weapons to work with.
The only true shock here is that Mason Rudolph isn’t on this list. The Oklahoma State gunslinger leads the nation in passing yards, and is the leader of the Cowboys’ prolific attack.
Sooner or later, all of these quarterbacks will be on a collision course. Rudolph and Grier’s teams are set to clash on Saturday, and the remaining round robin matchups will be played in November.
