Pitt competed with No. 20 N.C. State for much of the afternoon, but the Wolfpack pulled away late at Heinz Field to defeat the Panthers, 35-17, on Saturday.
In the loss, quarterback Ben Dinucci threw for 170 yards, a touchdown and one interception. He didn’t have much help offensively, as the Panthers rushed for just 95 yards on 32 attempts.
