What Oklahoma fans said after the Sooners’ dramatic win at KSU

Oklahoma fans were notably relieved after the Sooners escaped from Kansas State with a tough 42-35 victory.

The victory kept the Sooners’ 14-game road winning streak that is the longest in the nation.

It wasn’t necessarily an rousing artistic success, as Oklahoma fans told us after the game.

Here’s a sampling of their comments after the game. These responses have been edited for clarity, grammar and style:

Comments after Oklahoma-Kansas State:

Anna Borchers: “ Defense needs work. Got to play all 4 quarters.  Mayfield deserves Heisman.”

Don R Reed III: “ Riley needs to stop being cute and leave the ball in Baker’s hands.”

Brian Oldham: “ 1. (Oklahoma defensive coordinator Mike) Stoops needs to resign. 2. Stoops needs to be fired. 3. Stoops needs to just go away.”

Garrett Arnold: “ What a run by Anderson! Top 5 clutch scores in recent history.”

Don Tanksley: “ If Mayfield doesn’t win the Heisman, there is no justice in the world.”

Al Wrany: “ Defense damn near killed us again, but by the grace of number 6.”

CL Worley:  “ Sometimes benching a player changes attitude quickly. Baker responded quickly after being taken out of the game. Coach Riley is the boss.”

Tom Price: “ I’ve watched college football for more than 50 years. Mayfield is the most fun to watch ever for me.”

Manuel Gomez: “ Sure would be nice for OU to put 2 halves together.”

Jim Post:  “ I learned again. Michael Stoops sucks!!!”

Jim Couch  “ Not pretty, but a win.”
