What Mike Krzyzewski said after Duke blows out Virginia Tech at home

Grayson Allen and Gary Trent Jr. combined for 12 of Duke’s 15 three pointers as the Blue Devils ripped Virginia Tech 74-52 at Cameron Indoor Stadium.

Even without star player Marvin Bagley III in the lineup for a second straight game, Duke rode some sharp shooting to a relatively easy win on Wednesday evening. It ended the night 50% from the field, including 45.5% (15-33) from distance. It also held a large edge on the boards, finishing with a 36-19 advantage in that department.

All told, Allen finished with 25 points on 9-of-17 shooting and 7-of-15 from three. Trent dropped in 19 on 6-of-11 shooting and made 5 of his 9 attempts from beyond the arc. Wendell Carter Jr. recorded a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds.

Duke improves to 21-5 (9-4 ACC) and will travel to Clemson on Sunday. Virginia Tech falls to 18-8 (7-6) and visits Georgia Tech on Saturday.
