The Sooners took an overtime loss to the Rhode Island Rams in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Trae Young scored 28 points in a losing effort on the day, but couldn’t score enough to stem the tide of the Rams scoring.
Here’s what Oklahoma head coach Lon Kruger had to say after the conclusion of the game.

“Obviously a hard-fought game, guys on both sides really battled it.”
On his team’s fight
Lon Kruger says…”I thought the fight defensively and the fight on the boards was good, but didn’t make the shots we needed to create separation.”

“Of course, when you don’t win a game any time it’s disappointing, but when it’s the last game of the year in the NCAA Tournament, it makes things a little more difficult.”
