Michigan football fell 42-13 in a road game against Penn State that quickly got away from the Wolverines in the second half. Here’s what Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh had to say after the game at Beaver Stadium.
What Jim Harbaugh said after Michigan’s Week 8 loss
On if he’s seen a more diverse offense than Penn State
They’re hitting it on all cylinders. [Barkley] was good as advertised … The quarterback was hot and receivers made plays downfield. It was impressive.
On what wrong against the Penn State offense
They hit us on quite a few plays that we’ve defensed well this year. Their execution was really good tonight. Right from the beginning.
I thought they were executing well and we had our difficulties scoring and moving the ball.
On what to learn from Michigan’s two losses
We’re going to regroup, refit, retool and get back to work. We have more opportunities ahead of us.
On if the Penn State defense did anything unexpected schematically
No, they did a nice job on the edge. They set the edge multiple times.
On how Michigan can solve its problems
We solve this with our team. Nobody else can help us but us. We put our best people on it, our players and our coaches.
On if the problems can be solved this season
