What Bruce Weber said after Kansas State’s NCAA Tournament win over Creighton

No. 9 seed Kansas State defeated No. 8 seed Creighton 69-59 on Friday night in Charlotte to advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2012.

Barry Brown led K-State with 18 points, but it was Mike McGuirl — a reserve guard who had scored 13 points all season — who came off the bench and delivered a show-stopping 17 points.

Kansas State will face the winner of No. 1 Virginia-No. 16 UMBC (likely Virginia) on Sunday.
