The Virginia Cavaliers picked up another impressive victory Saturday, defeating North Carolina at Chapel Hill, 20-14, in Week 7. It was Virginia’s first win against the Tar Heels since 2009.
Senior quarterback Kurt Benkert led the way, throwing for 249 yards and 2 touchdowns. Junior running back Jordan Ellis also had a strong game, rushing for 136 yards on 27 carries.
With the victory, Virginia improved to 5-1 for the first time in 10 years. Here’s what head coach Bronco Mendenhall said after the huge win.
