Gators land a big-time commitment

Class of 2018 4-star offensive lineman Richard Gouraige committed to Florida on Friday in an SEC Country exclusive video. Gouraige, the No. 10 tackle in the class according to the 247Sports Composite, said he is motivated by his mother’s triumphs since moving to the United States from Haiti.

“She only came with the clothes on her back,” Gouraige said. “So coming over here was pretty hard. She had to go to school and work three jobs. Could barely speak English. She only knew Creole and French, so she struggled.”

Closer look at Matt Corral

Gators quarterback commit Matt Corral had another stellar week, throwing for 320 yards and 5 touchdowns while playing just the first half in an 81-0 win on Friday for Long Beach Poly, Calif. Corral’s work ethic and drive has been praised by former NFL linebacker Antonio Pierce and the quarterback remains optimistic about what is in store for him at Florida.
