Zhaire Smith just levitated in the American Airlines Center on national television against Stephen F. Austin in the NCAA Tournament.

Okay, well, that’s not exactly true. But the freshman did pull off one of the most incredible dunks you’ll ever see in college basketball, catching a pass from Keenan Evans and dunking a 180-degree alley-oop.

Here’s the play:

Look at the picture at the top of this post and try to comprehend how anyone could dunk the ball from that position. Keenan Evans should show his grandchildren that dunk 50 years from now just because he was the one that threw the lob.

He was facing the wrong way when he caught it, and only started to turn back to the basket after the ball settled in his hands. There aren’t any hyperbolic words we can write that could possibly make that sound any more impressive than it already is.

Naturally, Twitter exploded after the dunk.

Even former Red Raiders quarterback Patrick Mahomes got in the action.

Texas Tech trails Stephen F. Austin 23-19 with 4:14 left in the first half on TruTV at press time, but they’re far, far ahead in highlight dunks.
