So it turns out that Texas A&M quarterback Nick Starkel is a very big Justin Bieber fan. So much so that he posted a video of himself lip-synching to some of Bieber’s songs and that his birthday wish is to meet the pop star.
While Starkel is a celebrity in his own world, there aren’t very many people who know of him outside of the college football world. So to accomplish his goal of meeting Bieber, he put together a video that both explains his Bieber fandom and how he plans to hopefully meet him.
You can check out Starkel’s video below. In it we also see that Starkel wore a Justin Bieber shirt underneath his pads during the 2017 football season.
‼️ATTENTION EVERYONE‼️ Help make my birthday wish come TRUE by RTing and tagging @TheEllenShow so we can meet @justinbieber on our spring break trip!! @JD_Rodgers #MeetBieber pic.twitter.com/4oSspYXiWS

Starkel says that he and one of his friends will be in Los Angeles during Texas A&M’s spring break. And he wants Ellen DeGeneres to help broker a meeting between Starkel, his friend JD and Bieber.
The Texas A&M quarterback had a strong season in 2017, even while battling back from an ankle injury he suffered in the first game of the season. In 7 games, he threw for 1,793 yards and 14 touchdowns. He had his best game of the season in the Belk Bowl against Wake Forest, as Starkel threw for 499 yards and 4 touchdowns, albeit in a losing effort.
Starkel is expected to battle for the starting quarterback job with Kellen Mond, who took over when Starkel got hurt. Both quarterbacks will be trying to impress new coach Jimbo Fisher, who is replacing Kevin Sumlin. Fisher has a reputation as a quarterback developer, as he turned the likes of Jameis Winston, Christian Ponder and E.J. Manuel into first round picks.
Texas A&M opens up its 2018 season at home against Northwestern State on Sept. 1. The next week the Aggies host Clemson. Starkel will be a redshirt sophomore next season.
