TCU men’s basketball has arrived in Detroit, Mich. as the team makes its long-awaited return to the NCAA Tournament.
The team was out on the floor at Little Caesars Arena on Thursday for practice one day ahead of the Horned Frogs’ Friday-night matchup with Syracuse — who defeated Arizona State Wednesday night in a play-in game.
Here’s a glimpse at some of the sights and sounds from the arena in the Motor City on Thursday.

A glimpse at the matchup
TCU and Syracuse are set for tip-off at 8:40 p.m. central time as the Horned Frogs play in their first NCAA Tournament game since 1998. TCU has not won a game in the Big Dance in more than 30 years.
Syracuse will be no stranger for Horned Frogs coach Jamie Dixon. He went 15-6 against the Orange during his 13-year run as the coach at Pittsburgh — who played alongside Syracuse in both the Big East and ACC.
TCU enters the NCAA Tournament as the No. 6 seed in the Midwest after posting a 21-10 overall record and 9-9 Big 12 record during the regular season.
