Ryan Shazier was back at Heinz Field on Sunday, making an appearance at the Steelers game vs. New England less than two weeks after he underwent spinal stabilization surgery.

Shazier, a fourth-year linebacker out of Ohio State, suffered a serious injury on Dec. 4 against the Bengals that jeopardized his football future. Shazier has spent most of his time since the injury in the hospital, but he was healthy enough to attend Sunday’s game in Pittsburgh.

Shazier, who was sitting in a private box, got a huge ovation when he was shown waving a Terrible Towel on the jumbotron.

Shazier watched Pittsburgh’s win over the Baltimore Ravens last week from his hospital room. He was able to celebrate with his teammates via FaceTime following the game.

Shazier, who made the Pro Bowl in 2016, started the rehab process for his injured spine late last week.
