WATCH: North Carolina F Cam Johnson slams home momentous dunk in 2nd half vs. Notre Dame

North Carolina forward Cameron Johnson is a large man. One that has no trouble finding the rim with punishing authority if so inclined.

In the later stages of the second half against Notre Dame on Monday night, the 6-foot-8, 210-pound senior helped stretch the Tar Heels’ lead to six by posterizing defender Rex Pflueger — who is 6-foot-6 — with this monstrous dunk that sent the Dean Smith Center into mass hysteria:

The emphatic jam started what ended up being an 18-5 run for UNC, which went on to beat the Irish by a final score of 83-66 while improving its record to 20-7 (9-5 ACC) on the season.

With 13 points in tonight’s win, Johnson has now scored in double figures in eight of his last nine games, averaging 18 points over the Heels’ last five outings. To no surprise, the team is 4-1 and riding a four-game winning streak during that stretch.
