When Texas broke out a 90-yard pass play during Saturday’s game against Oklahoma State, Cowboys coach Mike Gundy had a simple reaction.

The Longhorns’ big play set up a game-tying touchdown in the first quarter of Oklahoma State’s eventual 13-10 overtime victory. In the moment, only one word came to Gundy’s mind.

In the end, Gundy got to feel a sense of relief as the Cowboys escaped Austin, Texas, with a victory for the fifth straight time thanks to Ramon Richards’ interception in overtime.

The only negative in the contest for Gundy was that he lost sole possession atop Oklahoma State’s record books for victories by a quarterback. Mason Rudolph won his 28th game as the Cowboys’ starter, matching his coach for the most in Oklahoma State history.

But Gundy is undoubtedly pleased with the Cowboys’ victory, even if it took some four-letter thoughts to get there.
