It was inevitable, it had to happen. Someone was going to do it on Tuesday, it was just a matter of who was going to admit they wrote-in Nick Saban for Alabama senator during its special election on Tuesday.
Enter this man, here to prove his Alabama fandom on national cable television.

He admits its the first time he has ever voted for someone other than the Republican candidate and decided to write in Saban over Doug Jones, the Democrat in the race.
It’s a long running joke that any football coach at Alabama, if they perform well, could run for politial office and win whether it’s for mayor, governor or in this case senator.
Saban already has quite the platform, and maybe just a few Auburn fans to swing to his side and he might be able to secure a win. At every campaign stop, Saban would just have to trot out his national title trophies and the crowd would go wild.
End the rally with “Rammer Jammer” and a bunch of crimson and white confetti and it would be hard not to vote for him. He even has a distaste for the media and a way of answering questions without really answering them that would rival any politician.
While it was just this one man who admitted it on Tuesday, Saban could probably win one day if he set his mind to it.
