WATCH: Louisville complains garbage time dunk by Virginia’s Kyle Guy is ‘disrespectful’

Kyle Guy-Virginia-Louisville-ACC Tournament

After losing to Virginia (29-2) in the ACC Tournament quarterfinals, tensions are high for Louisville (20-13) as they sit on the bubble. Meanwhile, a late-game slam by the Cavaliers definitely struck a cord with the Cardinals.

With 24 seconds left during the 75-58 loss, Virginia sophomore guard Kyle Guy drove in for a dunk during garbage time.

You can find Guy’s dunk at the 5:03 mark below:

Needless to say, Louisville wasn’t pleased with what they deemed an unsportsmanlike display from the No. 1 team in the nation.

Per Jake Lourim of the Louisville Courier Journal , Cardinals forward Dwayne Sutton took offense to Guy’s dunk.

“That was definitely not what we wanted to see,” Sutton said of Guy’s final bucket on his way to a game-leading 19 points. “That was kind of disrespectful.”

In terms of getting any possible revenge this season, Louisville will have to wait until Selection Sunday to see if their resume was strong enough to make the NCAA Tournament.
