WATCH: Lonnie Walker’s vicious putback slam for Miami versus George Washington

Lonnie Walker-Miami-George Washington-putback-dunk

No. 6 Miami was in Washington, D.C. to take on George Washington in their first game after the winter exam break. The Hurricanes entered the game at 8-0, their best start under Jim Larrañaga.

Part of the Hurricanes’ success has been the play of freshman Lonnie Walker, who, despite a preseason injury, has asserted himself as a big part of the team’s lineup. And if people weren’t aware of who he was before Saturday, that might change after this absolutely vicious putback dunk against the Colonials.

It didn’t take long for social media to erupt as a result.

That’s certainly some SportsCenter Top 10 worthy play for sure. If that’s a taste of what Miami fans can expect from this young man this season, this team will be tough to beat.
