The power in the Kansas weight room went out, but the Jayhawks found a way to get some work in. Specifically, with light generated by their cell phones.
All Power went out yesterday for about an hour. No windows in the bunker so we did what we had to do. Cell phone lights! If you want it bad enough there’s always a way! #anytimeanywhere #squatinthadark pic.twitter.com/RqivVoyDAy

It’s definitely unorthodox and it could get dangerous pretty quickly, but it’s definitely a way to get that extra work in. No blood, no foul.
Kansas football could probably use a little extra work, at least overall. The Jayhawks are attempting to stave off a recent history of sheer mediocrity. They’ve only won three games in the past three years, and only one of those was a conference game. The Big 12 game they won was fairly big, however. The Jayhawks sealed the fate of former Texas head coach Charlie Strong with a 24-21 overtime win over the Longhorns.
