Iowa State-Iowa State Cyclones-winter workout video

The Iowa State Cyclones turned a major corner in Year 2 of the Matt Campbell era.

After slogging through the 2016 season en route to a 3-9 record, the Cyclones more than doubled that effort in 2017, earning an 8-5 record, finishing behind only Oklahoma, TCU and Oklahoma State in the Big 12.

Such a successful season was capped by a 21-20 Liberty Bowl victory over No. 20 Memphis, which marked Iowa State’s third ranked win of the season and first bowl victory since 2009.

Rather than saturate in that success, Iowa State is hard at work one again in hopes of yet another step forward in 2018, as evident by this intense winter workout video:

The Cyclones Spring Game is set for April 14.

Iowa State’s 2018 season gets underway months later when the Cyclones welcome South Dakota State to Jack Trice Stadium on Sept. 1.
