WATCH: Hamidou Diallo’s nasty windmill dunk seals Kentucky’s win over Buffalo

Kentucky met a worth opponent in 13th-seeded Buffalo in the round of 32 on Saturday afternoon, but the Bulls were no match for Hamidou Diallo.

Diallo was outstanding, and put an triumphant exclamation mark on the game with this filthy windmill dunk on a fast break:

But even before that dagger, Diallo was just incredible for the ‘Cats. SEC Country’s Kyle Tucker went as far as to say it’s his best game of his collegiate career.

Diallo finished with 22 points on 9-of-12 shooting and made his only 3-point attempt. He also dished out an assist and grabbed 8 boards.

And while Diallo was spectacular and somewhat unexpected, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was the player of the game for Kentucky. He poured in 27 points on just 12 shots, and had 6 rebounds and 6 dimes to with the scoring. Buffalo had no answer for him all day long. Wenyen Gabriel was also impressive, scoring 16 points and and corralling a game-high 12 rebounds.

Kentucky will now face the winner of Kansas State vs University of Maryland-Baltimore County in the Sweet 16. UMBC upset No. 1 overall seed Virginia Friday night, becoming the first 16-seed in history to do so. Game time and date will be announced on Sunday.
