If there’s one thing that can improve the video genre of “players being told they’re now on scholarship”, it’s throwing some stars into the mix.
Former Texas Tech and current New England Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola and human manifestation of Mardi Gras/current Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski teamed up to let Justus Parker know that he’s now on scholarship.

The group originally chuckled a bit as Gronk came on screen, then erupted into cheers when the tight end announced that Parker is now on scholarship. Amendola added that he loves the way Parker works.
Justus Parker’s finest moment came in the closing minutes of Texas Tech’s final regular season game against the Texas Longhorns. The sophomore ended with three interceptions on the season, his third coming in the Texas game to seal the Red Raider victory and ensure a bowl berth.
Parker is one of Kliff Kingsbury’s ten returning starters on the defensive side of the ball in 2018. He still has two years of eligibility after a breakout season, and many in Lubbock believe that the sky is the limit for the young defensive back.
