WATCH: Auburn WR Darius Slayton shows the Tigers practiced trick play TD before Arkansas game

If anyone ever says practice doesn’t matter, just show them this example.

Auburn wide receiver Darius Slayton posted on Instagram Tuesday morning with the caption mentioning wide receiver Ryan Davis, “Practice makes perfect ft. @rdave5”

The clip briefly shows the play that the two connected on for a touchdown last Saturday against Arkansas, except this time it was in practice, presumably some time before the game happened.

Never mind that the video isn’t oriented correctly, it shows that the trick play was defintely a designed call and the execution was nearly flawless.

The sophormore has 11 catches through five games played with 302 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Tigers likely have more tricks up their sleeve, but no way the program will reveal them before they’re used. This one certainly caught Arkansas off guard.
