Alabama strength and conditioning coach Scott Cochran is intense.
During bowl season he smashed Alabama’s runner up trophy from the 2017 College Football Playoff as a way to motivate his players.
So when he joined Twitter on Monday, he didn’t enter lightly. Cochran, or as he’s now known on the internet, @CoachYeah, joined with a force. His first original tweet is this incredible video from the national championship game. Take a look:
No other way…I want this. pic.twitter.com/QVCkXRLtfz

Cochran and sophomore quarterback Jalen Hurts stand at the front of the Alabama locker room as the Crimson Tide trailed 13-0 at halftime of the National Championship game. Cochran belts out what he wants to see from the team in the second half, and Hurts nods right along with him.
Near the bottom left of the video, you can see freshman quarterback Tua Tagovailoa sitting at his locker listening to Cochran. It would be very interesting to know if either quarterback and/or the team knew yet that Hurts was not going to start the second half and Tagovailoa was going to play.
Either way, Hurts shows great leadership in addition to Cochran, whose message obviously got through. The Crimson Tide erased the Bulldogs’ 13-0 lead and came back to win the game — and the title — on Tagovailoa’s long touchdown pass in overtime.
We get the feeling this won’t be the last epic video Cochran tweets from his account, but he probably won’t be showing any more trophy smashes.
