The Washington Huskies looked like they were on track for a return to the College Football Playoff before a 13-7 loss at Arizona State on Oct. 14. However, odds makers still believe the Huskies have the best shot of any Pac-12 team to win the national championship this season.
The No. 12 Huskies sit at 6-1 and 3-1 in Pac-12 play. They currently trail Washington State and Stanford in the Pac-12 North by a half game, but are the highest ranked Pac-12 team. The Huskies are currently 40/1 to win the national title this season, trailing 11 other teams.

Washington’s upcoming schedule is incredible difficult, starting this week as the team hosts UCLA. The Huskies will then play Oregon, Stanford, Utah and Washington State to close out the season. If the Huskies are able to make it through those 5 games without a loss, they could be in a good position to contend for the College Football Playoff.
Currently, ESPN projects Washington to play in either the Fiesta Bowl or the Alamo Bowl. The Fiesta Bowl is one of the New Year’s Six bowl games.
Washington will host UCLA this Saturday in Seattle. The 12:3o p.m. kick off on either ABC or ESPN2 should provide the country with a good look at Washington.
