Late Friday night — late even for the West Coast — Washington football coach Chris Petersen tweeted out ‘WOOF!’ meaning only one thing: The Huskies had landed a commitment. Half an hour later, 247Sports confirmed that Washington had added three-star linebacker MJ Tafisi to its Class of 2018.

Tafisi, from Alta High School in Sandy, Utah, had received offers from a number of Pac-12 schools, including Cal, Oregon, Utah, and Oregon State. The 6-foot-1, 220-pound linebacker is reportedly one of 11 recruits on campus this weekend for a recruiting visit. He is the 15th commitment to Washington’s Class of 2018, which is ranked No. 22 in the nation, per 247Sports.
