USC coach Clay Helton won’t issue depth chart until just before 2018 opener

Spring practice began earlier this week for USC, and while the Trojans are still a long ways away from being set for the upcoming season it’s never too early to speculate about which players will be starting in the Sept. 1 opener against UNLV.

But it won’t be until the week leading up to that game that we’ll officially know who’s in line to start and who will begin as backups.

Helton says they will not release a depth chart until the week of the first game in fall. #USC

This would mean USC won’t be issuing a post-spring depth chart, which wouldn’t include any of the newcomers who didn’t enroll early, nor will it put one out at the start of preseason training camp.

Guess we’ll just have to speculate for the next five-plus months, huh?
