Early signing period is less than two weeks away, and USC is in the running for one of the top defensive backs in the country. Isaac Taylor-Stuart, a defensive back at Helix High School in San Diego, released his top-six list on Saturday afternoon, which included teams from three conferences and three coasts. USC was the only Pac-12 team on the list.

Aside from USC, Texas A&M, with new coach Jimbo Fisher; Georgia; Alabama; Oklahoma; and Texas also made the final cut. Taylor-Stuart would be a superb addition to an already-excellent Class of 2018 for coach Clay Helton, who has already hauled in the No. 4-ranked class in the country, according to 247Sports.
Taylor-Stuart is No. 105 on the ESPN 300, ranked 14th in the country for his position and 11 in the state. USC’s current commitments from defensive backs include four-star recruit Bubba Bolden from Bishop Gorman, four-star recruit Isaiah Pola-Mao, and three-star recruit Je’Quari Godfrey, among several who are listed under the ever-ambiguous ‘athlete’ tag.
