USC adds commitment from running back, while losing another

The USC Trojans had one in, one out regarding high school running back prospects on Sunday, as they secured a commitment from 4-star Markese Stepp, while losing a commitment from Mychal Salahuddin.

Stepp announced his intentions on Twitter on Sunday:

Stepp is a 6-foot, 228-pound tailback from Indianapolis. He is the 12th highest rated running back in the class of 2018 and the No. 228 prospect overall. His commitment came just hours after Salahuddin announced that he was re-opening his recruitment after a recent visit to the University of Maryland.

Salahuddin is from the Washington D.C. area and was the 4th highest rated running back in the class. He is still considering USC in his top 5.

Stepp becomes the only running back prospect in the Trojans’ 12-man class to this point. He was in Los Angeles on an official visit to USC on Friday.
