Washington RB Myles Gaskin is having another incredible year for the No. 5 Huskies. On the season, Gaskin has rushed for 559 yards and 8 TDs and has also caught 9 passes for 100 yards and 2 more scores.
USA Today recently ranked the top 10 running backs in the entire country and Washington’s junior back was ranked No. 4 on the list.
Here is what USA Today writer Paul Myerberg had to say about Gaskin:
“Gaskin has been flying under the radar since his freshman year. Why should this season be any different? He’s gained at least 91 yards in each of the Huskies’ first three league games, including 202 yards against Oregon State, and has scored eight touchdowns in his past five games.”
Gaskin ranked as the No. 2 back in the Pac-12, trailing only Stanford’s Bryce Love. Love was ranked as the best back in the country by USA Today.
Interestingly, Oregon RB Royce Freeman did not make the list despite being No. 12 in rushing yards and No. 3 in TDs.
Gaskin’s production is going to be crucial for the Huskies as the team approaches the most difficult part of its schedule. After taking on Arizona State in Tempe on Saturday (7:45 p.m. PT on ESPN), the Huskies will have to face UCLA, Oregon, Stanford, Utah and Washington State. That is no easy task.
