UCLA lands commitment from nation’s No. 1 ATH prospect

This is what having Chip Kelly as your head coach can do. The UCLA Bruins landed a huge commitment on Sunday night, landing Bryan Addison, the nation’s No. 1 ATH prospect, according to 247Sports.

Addison plays for Junipero Serra in Gardena, Calif. and announced his decision on Twitter just one day after making an official visit to UCLA.

A four-star athlete, Addison’s arrival in Westwood could start a wave of positive recruiting momentum for Kelly and the Bruins after a number of recent de-commitments in the past week. The 6-foot-5, 180-pound Addison held offers from 23 other schools and almost every school in the Pac-12. He also had offers from traditional powerhouses Ohio State, Michigan and Oklahoma.

He is the 79th highest-rated prospect in the country per 247Sports.
