LSU is set to host a large contingency of out-of-state recruits this weekend, but the latest addition is certainly a noteworthy one.
Nathan Pickering, a 4-star defensive end and top 50 prospect nationally, will make his way to Baton Rouge for an unofficial visit this weekend. The 6-foot-5, 270-pound Pickering from Seminary (Miss.) High School is the No. 4-ranked strong-side end in the country and No. 2-ranked prospect from the Magnolia State.
The Tigers have cemented themselves as one of the early favorites for Pickering, along with Alabama and Auburn, which have also played host to the elite 2019 defensive linemen already this spring.
Pickering joins an impressive list of Texas prospects heading to LSU this weekend, including 4-star quarterback Grant Gunnell, 4-star athlete Marquez Beason and 2020 prospects Lejond Cavazos and Zeriah Beason.
