The Big 12 confidence game continues for another week

If it’s Friday, it’s time for another week of Big 12 picks by the DieHards’ confidence game panel.

The five-member  group has picked games all season. Austin American-Statesman Big 12 beat writer Suzanne Halliburton has jumped to  a big lead after picking more winners than anybody for the last two weeks.

The panel selects each game against the line set by Las Vegas oddsmakers. The picks are ranked  in order with the pick with the most confidence ranked first followed by the others.

With all 10 teams in the conference playing this week, the top pick will be worth 15 points this week, the second choice 13 and the other picks pegged at 11, 9 and 7 points.

Here’s  a list of this week’s games and the point spreads that will be used:

Big 12 point spreads for Oct. 19, 2017:

Kansas @  TCU -37.5
Oklahoma State -7.5 @ Texas
West Virginia -9 @ Baylor
Oklahoma – 12.5 @ Kansas State
Iowa State @ Texas Tech – 6
